Does the childcare grant cover welcome week?

As the title states, does the childcare grant cover welcome week as it has events everyday whilst while the normal timetable will be 2 days a week so I have to book in extra sessions at nursery for welcome week

The thing is there seems to be some quite important things going on in welcome week to do with my course, not just freshers fayre etc, and I would start the course behind everyone else if I didn’t attended welcome week which isn’t a great start especially as I’m 38

We can't change the rules regarding the Childcare grant start date, unfortunately, but we'd definitely recommend speaking to your university's Finance team: they may be able to offer help and advice.
