Maths undergraduate

Son starts uni in 2026, got A in maths A level this year 2025, he will take further maths, physics and chemistry next year in A levels…. which all Russell group uni can he apply with A in maths?

Have a look at their pages for undergrad maths and check the entry requirements and whether he is elegible for any contextual offers. Dont restrict yourself to Russell group unis, they are not necessarily better than non-Russell group options so worth checking a variety 🙂

Hi thanks but I am thinking of LB, Sheffield, Southampton, Manchester, Durham for maths undergraduate. Do you think studying only maths degree is better or doing maths/economics or maths/physics, maths/finance is better option in say the top ones like ucl, kings, lse ?

Depends on your interests and career aspirations. Have a look at how the modules and graduate prospects differ 🙂
