Knowing more about A level!

This is my first time studying IGCSE system as I was in national schools . English is not my first language but last year I've been studying in English and got a high mark. Now I'm about to go to grade 12 but I think it's better to go one year back to build strong basics and English skills before moving to Grade 12.
The school I'm going to study in, divided the A level into grade 11 and 12.
My second problem 😭 I'm confused about choosing my subjects because I'm interested in both CS and Anthropologie so I thought of mixing it and take (CS, mathematics, history) in order to have more options for uni.

Any advice from you will help a lot 🙏🏽

For UK unis offering comp sci, the most important subject to take is maths. If you’re aiming for top unis then strongly consider further maths if it’s offered by your school. Only take further maths if you are confident in your maths skills and enjoy maths tho. Cs is not required for cs degrees so it’s optional but obviously will help you build relevant skills and knowledge before your undergrad.
For anthropology, there dont tend to be required subjects but this can vary between universities so check some entry requirements if you have any specific unis in mind. History is a good choice for the essay skills you’d need to develop.
Your best bet to keep options open is to take further maths, maths, history and comp sci. If you would rather take a different subject that you enjoy more in place of history and/or comp sci then that should be fine but make sure to check uni requirements for a range of unis first 🙂
