are these gcses good for medicine ?

i got 7888899999 today and im feeling so sad at my 7 but im 5 away from the next boundary so :v (eng lang btw)

are these results still impressive for top unis? comparison is the thief of joy and it def stole mine lol but idk if im blowing it out of proportion

Those grades are absolutely amazing so it should be fine.

Hi there,

Honestly, those GCSEs are really strong! Most med schools aren’t going to care about a single 7, especially when everything else is 8s and 9s. Even for the very competitive ones, that set of results would put you in a great position.
I get the disappointment about being so close to the boundary, but from the outside looking in it’s genuinely impressive.

You’re definitely not blowing it out of proportion lots of us nitpick our own results but your GCSEs are very good for medicine!

There are no 'top' unis for med. But no issues with those grades.
