Placement year for Aerospace engineering

Im at uni of bath and was wondering how likely I was to get a placement in bristol? As in are most placements in bristol? Or are only the more competitive ones in bristol? If anyone's done one in bristol how hard was it to find it and what was your CV/experience like (within aerospace/mechanical engineering).
Thanks 😊

If you are focused & “on it” with recruitment then you should be able to find a placement, but it is often a lot of applications & rejections. You probably should be focusing on several dozen total applications including custom cover letters & cvs for each one.

How likely is Bristol, hard to say, you will have to apply more broadly than just one location & one industry. For aerospace & consultancy there is a lot of opportunities there so you have a good shot but there is also a fair amount of randomness & luck as to the exact role, office etc. even if you get a job in one of the big companies with a big Bristol office most of these employers also have Derby & Manchester engineering hubs.
