Sqa appeals

I have a question about appeals. Say you got a B and were one mark of getting an A if you appealed it what is the probability of your grade going all the way to C?

This from BBC news:

What was the success rate of SQA appeals in 2024?

In 2024, 44,855 of the 552,695 certificated grades for National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher were appealed. This was a 7% increase from the year before.

A total of 3,990 appeal requests resulted in an upgrade while five resulted in a downgrade.

This means the success rate is just under 9%.

So a very, very low percentage. Realistically if your 1 mark off a A you will not move down to a C, don't worry
