Anyone who took a gap year / is a year older going to Manchester?

Helloo I’m 19 years old, F, at Manchester . I’m a year older than most people and would like to make some friends who aren’t freshers lol. I’m retaking my first year so it’s all very been there / done that, plus I feel a little strange about partying with freshly 18 year olds when I turn 20 pretty soon. I think the two year gap makes a lot of difference. Studying a humanities degree.

Yeah it's a bit weird being a knowledgeable fresher isn't it 😭. I'm about to retake my first year doing a different degree

Hi! This will be me next year due to my decision in taking a gap year.

Best believe that there will be a lot more 19/20 year olds partying at freshers than you think due to people taking a gap year but also a handful second years attend some fresher events so they’ll be 19/20 too.

I’m also living in just outside Manchester and will be attending UoM in the fall of 2026.
