Retaking A levels for a second time

Hello! Just wanted some advice.
I had a realisation yesterday that the uni was going to was not the place for me and that I had almost given up on myself
in 2024 I received BCC in my alevels in light of mitigating circumstances (bereavement) and then became determined to retake but mentally I had lost myself and didnt think this was something I wanted anymore. So I retook and got one grade worse than I did previously although I am getting the transcripts in hope of getting it remarked. However because of that I missed all my offers and had to go through clearing. I want to break into Law and understanding how competitive the course is. I would like to retake get into a better uni and put myself in a better position but if I retake twice will universities question how serious I am etc.

If you now have a Uni place for Law, my advice would be to accept it and enjoy being at Uni.
Many Unis will not accept a double-retake - you need to email individual Unis and ask about their policy. Be aware that increasingly Law firms are increasingly recruiting 'Uni blind' - and unless you are aiming at mega-competitive City firm, your Uni name wont matter.

That's the thing , I have always aspired to work in alot of firms that in the city preferably magic circle but I am not second guessing whether I should just give up or not.

You will only manage this if you get mega-high grades - and they wont look kindly at multiple retakes. You may get there later in your career, but initially that is probably an unrealistic ambition.

Yes I understand , there are not excuses to be honest but I am determined to secure at lease two a stars , I have been working towards it but I just don't want all that work I am now deciding to put in to go to waste.

From your other threads I think you have already retaken once? This would already limit your med options so a second retake and looking around in clearing would be a very, very unlikely route.

Med schools sometimes also get a bit iffy about people applying whilst enrolled elsewhere.
