Official Physiotherapy Applicants Thread 2026

If you're applying to university for Physiotherapy for 2026 entry, this is the place to introduce yourself to fellow applicants, ask questions and share your experience of applying so far.

A few questions to start the conversation:

Are you applying to an undergraduate or postgraduate course?

Which universities are you hoping to apply for?

Work/shadowing experience?

Anything else?

Share as little or as much information as you are comfortable with. :yep:

Just a heads up that funding for healthcare courses and eligibility for the NHS Learning Support Fund differs based on where you normally live and where you want to study. Read the following thread before you apply:

Comparing funding for healthcare courses in England, Scotland and Wales

Please don't share details of interview questions on the forum - it gives those who follow you an unfair advantage.

Sharing or requesting social media handles or group chats is not permitted under the TSR community guidelines.

Hi!
I’ll be applying to undergrad physiotherapy
KCL, U of Herts, Brunel, City St. George and Cardiff
I’ve shadowed a private physio
And I just wanted to ask, will applying early to UCAS make a difference for physiotherapy, because many people who do different courses have already applied and received offers. Is physiotherapy different because of the interview process? Also, is there a window for interview invitations and how long do unis tell you about interviews beforehand? Thanks.

Hello!!
I’m going to apply undergraduate physiotherapy course in KCL, Birmingham, Northumbria, Glasgow Caledonian and Leicester.
I have got a week of shadowing in a physio clinic and I’m now volunteering in NHS hospital.
Gonna send my application this week cuz I’m still working on my personal statement(I know I should’ve done earlier😭)

My son is applying for Physio this year. He submitted his UCAS just before half term and has already had interviews from Liverpool, Man Met, Nottingham and York St John. He got about a weeks notice for each so not long to prepare. Good luck to everyone

Yes, he’s done four interviews now - Liverpool, Nottingham, York St John and Manchester Met. He’s received offers from all except Nottingham so far, which he is still waiting for. So they’ve all been quite quick at coming back after interview

It was pretty quick - within 10 days for Liverpool, Man Met and York, except Nottingham which he hasn’t heard from yet but I think typically takes much longer

Interview questions can't be shared on the forum as it gives those who follow an advantage over those who have already interviewed. For tips on preparing for a healthcare interview, have a look at the following thread:
