Homeless guy shouted at me after offering him food

Homeless guy asked me if I had change, I said no but offered him food, he flipped out and shouted I want money not food and followed me shouting at me until someone intervened, was so scary why would he react like that?

Probably because he wasn't really homeless. Many just want money for drugs.

I often give homeless people food and they are always very grateful. The real homeless ones don't get angry if you give them food, they happily accept it and say thank you.
