I’m applying UCL KCL Manchester and I’m honestly so unsure where I’m gonna apply for my last two options as I’m not keen on universities that aren’t in London :frown: - and there are honestly such limited universities with mPharm. UCL and KCL are definitely my first two choices though.

If you're applying to university for Pharmacy for 2026 entry, this is the place to introduce yourself to fellow applicants, ask questions and share your experience of applying so far.
A few questions to start the conversation:
Which universities are you hoping to apply for?
Work/shadowing experience?
Anything else?
Share as little or as much information as you are comfortable with. :yep:
Please don't share details of interview questions on the forum - it gives those who follow you an unfair advantage.
Sharing or requesting social media handles or group chats is not permitted under the TSR community guidelines.

If you want Big City there are plenty of options -
Pharmacy MPharm - University of Birmingham
Pharmacy MPharm Honours | Undergraduate | Newcastle University
Pharmacy MPharm | Courses | University of Liverpool
etc etc

Or for 'near London' -
Pharmacy MPharm (Hons) | Kingston University London
Pharmacy, MPharm | University of Greenwich, London
MPharm Pharmacy - Reading School of Pharmacy
etc etc

Most Unis wont start interviewing for Pharmacy until after the January UCAS deadline, and usually you get at least a few weeks notice.

Lots of resources here - including online subject sessions in Oct/Nov, recorded lectures etc etc - Useful resources for MPharm PS and Interviews - The Student Room

With a C in Chemistry, and even with a Foundation year an MPharm is going to be challenging. If she didnt apply this year, could she work hard enough to get better grades and then apply in a gap year for 2027 entry with higher achieved grades?

Mock grades are now in.. ABB which will be entered on UCAS so pressure off for application stage now thankfully

I’ve applied for Cardiff Newcastle Birmingham Leicester and DMU.
I did work experience at Cytiva as well as doing a Pharmacy focused EPQ - have feedback on the essay from MPharm lecturers
I’m just wondering how long it can take to receive interview invites from the others as I have one for DMU already!

Each Uni does this differently. Some will start interviewing now, other won't even send out out invitations until well into the New Year. Try to focus on 'no rejection, so still in the running' and not endlessly checking your phone.

Hi my daughter is looking at predicted grades of B in Maths and C in chemistry . Are there any Mpharm courses who will accept a C , don’t want her wasting a choice on UCAS, also anyone on here who has competed a foundation / prep year and then progressed onto Moharm . Thanks

100% a chance! Look at foundation years and less subscribed to unis. If you avoid the big group russel groups it’s definitely worth a try.

Brilliant thanks . Her most recent mocks results back and she’s managed to up her predicted to ABB so more doors open . Or you on or have completed Mpharm ?

I got AAB, B in Chemistry. I am applying to notts, Keele, brum, Aston and Cardiff (idk about Cardiff it's more of a filler choice).

What parts of Chemistry A Level is actually relevant to Pharmacy. I'm on a gap year so knowledge is kinda low rn but I wanna know what actual parts show up in the degree.

You will probably be asked about Organic Chemistry as part of any interview.

Hi Guys!
I’ve just applied to study Pharmacy (MPharm) at Bath, Cardiff, UCL, Leicester and Swansea- I was just wondering how long it usually takes to get interview invites back from them. I applied yesterday, and already have a Cardiff interview, so also any tips about how to prepare for interview (especially the chemistry and maths aspects) would be greatly appreciated, thanks so much!

Hey, I also applied to study pharmacy in Bath!

For bath, they usually wait until the January deadline so they can equally consider everyone that applied so we will not get any replies until mid January. But I did read somewhere that Bath offer an interview for every person that meets the minimum requirement so that's good.
