17 at freshers, no ID

Hi! Just looking for some help/advice.

I'm going to be 17 at freshers; I found out most places will let me in with a wristband so I can't buy alcohol. However, my only ID is my young scot card :frown: i've ordered a provisional but since i don't own a passport or any other ID, its gonna take about three weeks. is my freshers week ruined? Its St Andrews if that helps

Young Scot Cards are not accepted at any bar or nightclub as proof of age in Edinburgh.

I just got my totum PASS ID card and it's official 16-17 proof of age so I think you could do that.
