Art and Design foundation year

Got a place on a foundation year course or thinking about applying to one?

A foundation year might be for you if...

You want the flexibility of a year’s study on a more general course to find out the best degree choice for you.

You have changed your mind about your career since you chose your A-levels or BTECs and need to improve your skills in a different subject area.

You would like extra time and support to help you build your knowledge, skills and confidence before starting a full degree.

You don’t quite meet our entry requirements but know you have the potential to succeed at university.

Some students studying on our Art and Design Foundation year told us why the year has helped them explore their interests, build confidence, and determine the direction they want to take.

Like the sound of this course? We still have places available in Clearing!

Check to see if you meet the entry requirements on the course page and give us a call on the Clearing hotline - 0121 331 6777.

Let me know if you have any questions about foundation years or studying at BCU

This post is fantastic! I would definitely recommend doing a Foundation year in Art to anyone who's still on the fence about uni! I felt it was very beneficial for me in narrowing down what I wanted to study afterwards.

Thank you! I agree, it helps lots of students decide on the creative discipline that works for them and that they want to continue into degree level.
Does BCU offer a FAD or an integrated foundation year?
