Gap year?

I received a*a*a in my a levels this year in Politics, English Lit and History respectively.
I already hold an offer to study Law at Bristol but I’m now considering that I gap year and reapply to Cambridge for HSPS or LSE for Politics and KCL for their PPL course.
I’m not entirely sure if I should take the already good course I have right now or gap year and reapply.
For context my GCSEs are on the weaker end at 7766665555 (one of my 5’s unfortunately being in English Language).
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Bristol is a top Law School with high academic standards. Whilst its natural to get a bit toey at this stage and wonder what's ahead, once you get there you will wonder what you were anxious about. Unless you really do think you want to study a joint subject degree (regardless of which Uni its at), I would recommend sticking with what you have. Remember, you could reapply for all of the courses you have mentioned and not get a place - and you can always do postgrad Politics etc at whatever Uni after Bristol if it then still interests you.

Thank you,
I really appreciate the advice, I'm going to definitely get the second opinion of my school but yeah that is a definite issue that's been preoccupying my mind that I could not get a place in all of the courses I've listed there.

I echo what McGinger said. It's a risky bet, which many people take. Many succeed, but many fail. Bristol's a good university and you'll be fine there, so unless you have a major problem with Bristol I personally wouldn't risk it. Up to you though
