Any tips for the video interview? I’ve applied for Audit, and this will actually be my first ever video interview, so I’m not sure what to expect. They mentioned there will be two motivational questions and two competency-based ones. I strongly suspect the motivational ones will be “Why Audit?” and “Why S&W?”, but I’m less certain about the competency-based questions. I’d really appreciate your guidance!

I would suggest looking online, they have a huge list of STAR questions. Just practice them over and over in front of the camera. My competency questions were: give a time you had to explain something complex and give a time you had to show confidence

Thanks. So I assume my guess is correct about the first two motivational questions (Why Audit and Why S&W), is that right? Also, regarding the STAR questions list you mentioned, are you referring to one published specifically by S&W, or just to look for typical STAR questions from other sources?

Yh things like that, mine was what do you know about this role and how did you research for this. Then the competency just the genral ones. I just listed as many experiences as i could and then just made it it the fit the question in the 2 minutes they give before you answer each question. Most competency questions are the same across companies and the questions aren't company specific, just general competency

Applied on 29/08. Took the assessments shortly after and was sent a link for the video interview on 5/09.

If I've applied for the Accountancy Dec 25 role, does anyone know if I can apply for the Audit Sep 26 role from now? I wanted to do Audit, but applied for the Accounting role before the Audit graduate scheme came out and already done the OA and VI

yep its 2 different cycles so you can apply for both

Is it? Because one of the questions I got asked when I applied for Dec 2025 asked whether that’s my first application for Sept 2026 recruitment cycle

This is the question from a Dec 2025 application, "Have you previously submitted an application to us with a start date of September 2026 or later?". So technically I haven't because I applied for a Dec 2025 role back in August, so this would be my first application for the 2026 recruitment. Atleast that's what I think.
