what to buy for qmul barts / oral health / dental therapy and hygiene

Hi, I am starting oral health this September and have a MacBook but I've seen people say an iPad with a pen is better for diagrams and note taking for dental school.
I also wanted to ask about buying anything niche or specific that helped people through uni can be health based, equipment based, anything to be honest.
I was also thinking of buying a biggg whiteboard for mind maps and etc.
