Funding for Podiatry as second degree

Hi,
I already have a full degree from 2012. However I would like to study podiatry. I have been offered a place from University of Brighton to start a BSc (Hons) Podiatry this September. I am still waiting for my student loan application to be reviewed, but am quite worried I might not get funding. I contacted the live chat on the SFE website and was told Podiatry is not an exemption course.
Naturally I am confused now, could someone shed some light on this please.
Thank you:smile:

Hi there,

Based on the details you have advised, the course does show as an Allied Health Professional (AHP) course. Funding on a new AHP or NHS course will be exempt from previous study and ELQ rules. Therefore, if you already hold a degree or has previous study, you will still be eligible to access the full package of funding, so long as you're not already registered in the field you're planning to study.

Thanks,
Claire
