Note taking

Just about to start joint maths/physics at durham. Is it important is having an iPad to take notes? Or do most people just use pen & paper? I've also been recommended a reMarkable.

I’m about to start msci joint maths/physics at Durham too! I’m at University college, what college are you in?

Personally, I’m going to use my iPad because it’s what I’ve got and I cannot afford a laptop (I’ll just use the computers at the library/in the college).

For college, on my iPad for maths+fm+physics, I used Goodnotes because it was easy to import slides and annotate them, as well as OneNote (because this is what my teachers preferred). The only downside to OneNote is that you have to screenshot individual slides because you can’t import directly (but if I’m wrong, someone please let me know because this is life changing info if you can).
