Travel grant Q's

Hullo, I'm just finishing my year abroad and finally got around to looking at the travel grant - I only just realised I could have been uploading it piecemeal through the year - from the one form I was sent, I thought I had to wait and do it all in one go at the end of the year, lol!

Anyway I've uploaded today and explained a few queries (e.g. I had to buy business for one flight as luggage was included and the costs of econ+luggage was way, way more) so we'll see how SFE views that.

I was wondering firstly how long the process roughly takes (it seems from other threads it's a little over a week?) and secondly if I'm actually too late - one thread mentioned a deadline of nine months from the start of the academic year, which has obviously long since passed. I couldn't see this mentioned in the form, though, and I've only just returned this from the year abroad this week.

Hi there, the current timescale for the Travel Grant team's review of evidence is currently estimated at 17 working days, however, this is subject to change depending on the workflow.

As to the 9 month deadline, this is normally the case. However, we may be able to accept claim forms and evidence after this date if students can provide an acceptable reason, and these will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, so any additional evidence you can submit will be helpful for the review. Stephen.
