artefact EPQ HELP

hi, i am currently trying to work out what to do for my epq and im really confused about what im actually allowed/ supposed to do. i want to research gum disease and bacteria in the mouth and how it is linked to other diseases in the body, and then create a crochet model showing damaged teeth and gums with different bacteria, or just something to show what ive researched and learned, however im not sure if this is allowed or what im supposed to. other people seem to research how to make their artefact, not a topic which they are trying to represent with it. this doesnt really make sense but i hope someone can help me.
