Why do long words seem blurry

Im currently doing LNAT prep and every time I try to read a complicated text, all the long words are blurry, I can’t focus, and I seem to be reading it without actually reading it (reading it while subconsciously thinking of other things, daydreaming, etc). Then I get to the questions, and I cant remember a single thing I read. How do I fix this??
