Name called out during exam?

So at school i go by my chosen name. Most things, like the the register and my school email is under my chosen name. i go by my chosen name as i really dislike my legal name and would prefer if no one would know. i just wanted to know if during the gcse exam the invigilator calls out your legal name? in one of my mocks last year , some names were called out for register and i wanted to know if it’s the same, or how the registration process works at gcse in general. do you just show ur identification card or?

I think their is inevitably variation between schools. At my school we had cards on our desk with out full name, centre number and candidate number. This would reveal it if people looked but most people are stressing about their exams. That being said, I always sat my exams in a smaller room because I am disabled, so my experience is likely different.
