Help with Santander transfer account button

student finance section can't help so trying a more general thread. My son is trying to use the transfer button on Santander to move from 123 mini to student account so he can update SFE with student account details but the button just sends him round in a circle and he never gets to anywhere asking for his UCAS code(we spent an hour on the website). We finally rang them and they said you can do it on the web site but then they booked us an appointment at a branch but its 20miles away so just wondered if anyone had found a way round the same issue so we can save a 2 hour round trip tomorrow.

Just wanted to say that I’ve been experiencing the same issue in transferring my account over to a student one. I also managed to ring Santander twice last week and was told on the second call that they are having an ongoing issue with their online system, but that they are looking into it.
The person who I was on the call with said that they would email me once the issue had been resolved, but so far I haven’t heard anything back. I was planning to go into branch next week if the issue was still ongoing.
If I do receive an email about the problem being fixed or an alternative way to do the transfer, I can let you know if that would be helpful

Thanks for your reply, its much appreciated, at least I know we aren't missing something obvious. As he has an appointment we will probably go in tomorrow and sort it face to face (but he will give it one more try before we set off!)

It’s ok, I’m glad I’m not the only one with this problem as well 🙂 good luck tomorrow

I have the exact same problem, it just keeps looping me around and never takes me to a clear 'transfer' page. I will update on this

They sorted it quickly in the branch if that helps, but annoying the web site didn't work.

I've heard of similar issues with other banks where the online process just doesn't work for certain account types. Have you tried doing it from a different browser or even on the mobile app? By the way, if you're dealing with website migrations or moving your content online, codelibry’s WordPress migration services can make the process smooth and hassle-free.
