Okie dokie, my graduation ceremony is next month and I'm trying to decide what to wear.
I definitely want to wear a dress (short sleeved as I'm aware that gowns are hot), but here is where I need advice...
in your opinion do you think it looks better if someone's dress is longer than the gown (i.e. a maxi dress) or shorter than the gown (I'm talking about roughly knee length)?

I would say shorter than the knee would be best

Shorter than the knee is better in my opinion.
Shorter than the gown is more attractive and alright, if it is at knee length. As a man I prefer this.
