can i apply to both and have a decent chance of getting in or do both 1000000% require a tailored personal statement? which personal statement would i need to use? a medicine one or dentistry one?

Dentistry and Medicine are stupidly competitive. You need to write a personal statement specifically tailored to them, and trying to play both sides is nothing short of shooting yourself in the foot, at KCL or anywhere else.
