Lost in unis choices for Civil Engineering… anyone been there?

Hi everyone,
I’m an international student from Kenya looking to study Civil Engineering in the UK, but I honestly don’t know which university I’d love to join yet.
I’d really appreciate hearing from students currently in Civil Engineering courses:
-Which universities do you feel have the best teaching, facilities, and career support?
-How is the experience for international students?
-Are there any universities you’d recommend based on your own experience?
I’m still in the early stages of research, so any advice or personal stories would be super helpful.

Thanks in advance.

What qualifications are you taking in Kenya and what are your expected final grades?
This will usually determine which 5 Universities are realistic for you to apply to.

'Good Unis' for Civil Engineering are, in no particular order : Southampton, Newcastle, Aberdeen, Sheffield, Bristol, Strathclyde, Loughborough - but there are many others with lower entry requirements. A course with a 'work placement' or 'industrial experience' built into the course is a major plus.
