Self Funded MA

Hello, is there no extenuating circumstance for someone who has self funded their own masters many years ago to retrain a new MA with a student loan?

Hi there. Do you already hold a masters qualification? Thanks, Leah.

Yes Leah. She self funded this around 20 years ago as there wasn’t any support. Now looking for a change in circumstances for a new avenue just seems bizarre she’s never had aid before seems to be stuck without privately funding again

Hi Adam,

If a student holds a Postgraduate Master's qualification whether funded or not, we wouldn't fund them for another. They would be best speaking to their university they wish to study with to see if they know of any alternative funding options.

Thanks,
Claire
