University of Bristol

Hi I’m looking to apply to university or Bristol for veterinary medicine but the only thing I’m worried about is the diversity and how it is for a POC attending the uni and how it is living in the city as I’m from London where it’s very multicultural

Not sure about the uni as I’m not there, I’m applying for 2026, however I only live 20 mins away and I can definitely say Bristol itself is very diverse and multicultural.

Bristol is a port city - there have been non-white people arriving/living here for hundreds of years. Its never been one of those 'white enclaves'. The city's population is incredibly ethnically diverse, and the student body just adds to this. Have no worries.

No worries whatsoever, Bristol will be as multicultural as London easily, it's a historical maritime trading hub. Whatever your course, it won't be any different, the University has a huge mixture of people from all over the world.
