UCAS - parents attending uni

Hi guys
I was asked the 'Did either of your parents attend university?' question
I'm probably crazy overthinking it, but my mum has just started going to uni
The questions are asking in past tense, so they're asking in the context that she's received the degree ???? i think

Should I tick yes just in case, or no because her course hasn't finished

Are you sure that's exactly the question it's asking, word-for-word? I ask as the screenshots UCAS have published for the 2026 application cycle (here) say that the question is: "Do any of your parents, step-parents or guardians have any higher education qualification, such as a degree, diploma or certificate of higher education?"

If your mum has just starting at uni, then the answer would be a clear "No".

In which section are you seeing the question you've quoted? The one I've mentioned above is within the Diversity & Inclusion section.
