Medical school application

A lot of that would help her give strong answers for interview though it is important that she reflects on what she has learnt from work experience etc; a list won’t cut the mustard. A lot of universities don’t read personal statements so it is important to focus on the short-listing criteria for interview. The interim UCAT deciles might help finalise choices.

I’m asking for help with medical school application. For my daughter

7’s in Eng Lit & Physics
Chemistry, Biology & Maths all 8’s
Predicated Alevels Chemistry, Biology & Spanish AAA
UCAT 1970 B2
Work experience
2 days showing in a teaching hospital with junior doctors, where she got to participate in clinical skills labs & attend ward sessions
Has a further 2.5days planned at end of Sept with an Oncologist in hospital
Volunteering at a local end of life hospice for last 4mths, 4hrs per week, in the catering department.
She has also been an elite gymnast for several years and spends a lot of time coaching younger gymnasts & has also worked aa part of the team of carers at the gym’s holiday club.
She is interested in Liverpool, possibly Manchester, Sheffield or Leeds or Hull York. She also likes Nottingham but I’m concerned that SJT 2 & 610 in VR might go against her.
