Oxford Sub Fusc and stuff?

Hi there!
I'm looking to buy my first sub fusc robe and any of the other stuff that I might need. I've had a look on the website and I wanted to ask:
- Does everyone buy these things brand new?
- I want to wear a longer skirt, are there any guidelines?
- Any weird/unexpected things I might need

Many students leaving oxford will sell their sub-fusc, so you may want to check local advertisements. It doesn't get much use, so it's often almost new. You may want to check with your College to ask one of the JCR reps if they know of anyone wanting to sell. The Daily Info is Oxfords local online advertising website.
