Should I use a fake client for AQA DT GCSE NEA?

It seems easier to use a fake client and make it look legitimate than find a real client, but most of my friends said that they would find a real client. According the AQA NEA rules, it does not mention anything about lying or dishonesty. What should I do?

I have just finished a similar qualification as this just with WJEC and I would personally use a real client as you can be truthful with your information and I felt I could provide more detail, however if you think you can make one up and still provide enough detail i would say go for it. also if you choose to make one up and it doesn't work out you can always find a real client after and it also works the other way around. I was always told that it was our choice as long as we provided enough detail and that it looked real so no images that clearly look like AI people.

you can use a fake client or even yourself but just make sure that it doesn’t compromise the quality of your work since using a real person would give you more comprehensive informations and feedback which you may not consider fully if making a fake client. I just used myself when I did DT and made up random stuff about it for it to fit with the product and it worked perfectly fine.
