youll be good for ucl idk about Edinburgh i havent looked much into it but for ucl u shud get an interview
UCL doesn't score GCSEs at all. Since you have excellent GCSEs I would focus on GCSE heavy medical schools (e.g. Oxford, Cardiff, etc) to make the most of those.

If you're not a Scottish student then Edinburgh probably not worth it.

I wouldn't bother with Edinburgh, because they only allocate about 85 places to students outside of Scotland. It is one of the hardest medical schools to get into as a result. UCL, on the other hand, isn't as hard to get an offer as you might think, because the course is 6 years, and the extra year puts a lot of students off from applying there. That and the high costs of living in London (unless that is you know a relative in London who could help you out with accommodation) means that getting A*AA, alongside the minimum UCAT cut off score, will probably get you into UCL. But nothing is for certain, and it is possible that in the coming recruitment cycle the calibre of applicants to UCL may be higher than in recent years. But from my own experiences in recent years, some of the UCL medical students l have met have come across as very intelligent, whilst others not in the slightest. I don't know if they interview international medical students or not, but l wasn't impressed with a few of the ones l met, not least their level of communication skills.
