Failing Two Resits at Glasgow university

Hi, I’ve found out that I’ve failed two of my first year law LLB resit exams from August and I’m totally lost on where to go from here.

I’ve messaged my advisor of study’s but have not received much help, (which I’ve found to be a trend with this university and course) and I’m really panicked that I will be forced to drop out.

I passed all my exams in the may exam diet, so I’m not sure if I get forced to resit the year if I’ll have to resit these exams too.

When I sat these exams at Christmas I didn’t receive any of my SASS disability support yet so I struggled massively with studying for them and you can see the difference in results from my spring exams so I’m very annoyed with the situation.

I’m really not sure where to go from here as I don’t know anyone in my situation, I’ve put so much time and effort into this course and I don’t want to give up because I’ve tried this hard to get where I am, if anyone has any advice or helpful suggestions it would be massively appreciated 🙏🏻

You should have an undergraduate academic book for guidance in these matters. It should tell you how many modules you would need to pass in year 1 to progress to year 2. What is important is that you score no less than 30% overall in any module that you fail. How many modules they will allow for failure at Glasgow l don't know, but my Russell Group uni they allowed you to fail a third of your first year modules, as long as you didn't score <30% in any of them. In the event that you failed a module with <30%, then you would have needed to average at least 50% overall in order to still progress. If you were to fail the first year, then it would likely mean being removed from the course, and from the university. But you may have grounds to appeal, if you have extenuating circumstances.

My advice is to try to find out more info from the uni directly, such as from your uni student portal, where the uni academic regulations should be listed. Asking people here on TSR would be highly speculative, and you risk raising or lowering your hopes based on inaccurate information.
