I’m looking to study an online part-time course either at Open University or Falmouth University.
I’ve had 3 years funding taken for full time courses previously (one I’m appealing to try to get back), but I’ve read that previous full-time years aren’t counted toward part-time funding, and that I can be fully funded for the part-time 3 year course (for Falmouth) without the previous full time years being deducted from the tuition fee.

No previous qualification achieved: The number of years of PTTFL and PTML funding available will be four times the maximum length of a FT equivalent course, capped at a maximum of 16 years, and with previous years of PT study where the student was found to be eligible for support* deducted (regulation 141(5) and 144(5)(b)). The following are therefore not included in the 16 years of maximum PT funding:
• previous years of FT study, and
SLC
Student Loans Company
• previous years of PT study where either:
• the student did not apply for support or
• the student applied for and was found to be ineligible for PT support.”
Can I use this to appeal if SFE decline the part-time course funding?
