Do LSE Accept Resits for Situations Like Mine?

I applied for Philosophy, Politics, & Economics (PPE) at LSE last year, which had a 28:1 intake ratio in 2023, and didn’t get an offer. The majority of my personal statement was an evaluation of super-curriculars that culminated in an EPQ essay, and I didn’t include anything too mathematical. While decent, there wasn’t too much variation.

I achieved ABB in economics, mathematics, and English literature A-Levels. I am definitely going to resit maths and English this year, and perhaps economics (I’ll decide around Christmas-time).

Should I apply for Philosophy and Economics, which had a 9:1 intake ratio in 2024, or am I wasting my time? The entry requirements are AAA, with an A in mathematics. I am also making my personal statement much more competitive this year by including different super-curriculars, and attempting to do something practical (if the logistics of that work), since I really want to go to LSE.

Many thanks for your time.

if philosophy and economics is something you want to do then go for it but check the course info to make sure they allow resits and if it doesn’t say you’ll need to email admissions as some unis for certain degrees only allow resits for extenuating circumstances
