Hi @ rengs251,
I am going into my final year of diagnostic radiography at the Uni of Suffolk so can answer your questions. I, myself, do not use any apps but I have heard apps such as iRad Xrays, Xray Anatomy, Navi Radiography Lite, Daily anatomy Flashcards and more are helpful. I utilise websites advised by lecturers such as Radiopaedia and NICE guidelines for case studies and other assignments. My university pays subscriptions for many websites that we use for our assignments such as iRefer, CINAHL, ProQuest etc. You do not have to worry about applying for jobs until final year, where your university should coach you for interviews. When the time comes, I would advise applying to more than one trust just to expand your chances. In terms of job vacancies, it truly depends on the trusts you apply to but at some point in your degree, you should be able to have a 2 weeks elective placement where you can go to your local hospital trust so you will know if there are vacancies at your preferred trust. Everything you need to know about the career, you will be taught at university and at placement especially as you get to experience what life is like as a qualified radiographer.
If you have any more questions about diagnostic radiography feel free to ask!
