I'm from yr12, doing AQA board, I'm honestly not doing so well and it's only the first two topics (cells and molecules of life.)

Many students struggle with organic chemistry, unfortunately. I think it's because it requires a different style of learning (learning patterns) rather than memorisation or calculation.

Do you think students get enough support when it comes to understanding organic chemistry in a clear, accessible way?

hiii! completely agree, organic chemistry is frustrating but i do get the point about patterns, i just need to push through it. the group 7 and 2 memorisation of equations and reactions are hard for me too tho, just need to learn them over half term :'') im doing aqa and in yr 13 btw! gl everyone for this year, we got thisss

Hi!
I'm year 13, looking for a study buddy! Or to help any year 12s!
AQA. I honestly prefer organic over the others. Sure, the mechanisms are annoying but it's just memory, while you could get some awful maths with the others.

Personally I found organics much easier in year 12 but I think thats because of my teacher for inorganic chemistry but making maps for all the organic reactions and mechanisms helped me a lot

Heyyy
I do edexcel but tbh I find organic and inorganic equally difficult. There are times when I love them and times when I hate them but I dont think either of them is largely better than the other.
Omg the long maths questions get me every time
