Could apply through clearing next year?

I sat my alevels this year and got cdd. Im trying to weigh out all my options an im considering applying for an integrated diagnostic radiography foundation year for 2026 entry if I can’t find a center to resit at and was wondering if I’d also be able to apply through clearing in 2026 for the normal 3 year course. I’d still apply to foundation years ofc but would it be worth a shot? Do unis give clearing places to applicants that received low level 3 qualifications the previous year?

If you apply through clearing, you need to give up any offers you might be holding and risk getting none at all. Although of course now it's become fashionable to call universities and ask first without releasing yourself into clearing until you know for sure they'll give you an offer, but not all universities play ball with this strategy yet.

Unis do give out reduced offers for clearing, but how below their usual entry requirements is up to them and how much competition is there that year. These things change year per year and so no one can predict if you'd be able to secure a place through clearing. I'd apply through the regular UCAS process and be happy with what I find

There is a lot of competition for DR places in Clearing so I think you will still struggle with CDD grades. Talk to your former school about using them as the exam centre for resits.
