Imperial Physics or Cambridge Natural Science missing one predicted A*?

Any advice on following scenario:

Predicted grades: A* Maths ("locked in"), A* Further Maths, A* Chemistry, A Physics (very close to A* range)

Assuming a good score on ESAT is it worthwhile applying to Imperial even though their minimum entry is A* for both Maths and Physics (the latter may very well be met but won't know until Summer 2026 results of course)? Cambridge Natural Sciences perhaps higher chance given A*A* in any of the above subjects?
It's fine to have one or two "aspirational" choices, so I don't think it's a problem as long as you have a good selection in your others

I'm in a similar situation (predicted A in physics) and I spoke to a physics admissions tutor at Imperial on the open day in June. He said if you're just 1/2 grades off then apply, as they're predictions not actual grades and people do outperform then. I guess you just have to compensate with rlly good esat scores (which is what i'm trying to do). not too sure abt Cambridge, but the requirement for Oxford physics is A*AA
