Student finance, no degree but got DipHE from previous study

Hi

Am I likely to get student maintenance loan for a new Games Design BA course?
I am aware I don't get tuition fees due to studying previously on a course and completing foundation year to year 2.

I received a DipHE when I left my degree course and I am worried that this classes as the same level qualification I would be doing from year 1 of Games Design BA and would not get funding at all?

Hi there. Can you confirm the full name of the course and university you are looking to study at and how many years this will be in total? Is it full time or part time?

Can you also confirm how many years in total you have studied previously? Thanks, Leah.

Thanks, we class a DipHE as a Level-5 qualification, which is lower than a degree.

So, based on this you'll be eligible for the Maintenance Loan for the duration of this course.

You may be award of this, but you may want to consider trying to show evidence of Compelling Personal reasons to see if you can get an additional year of tuition fee funding.

Thanks, Graeme
