UCAT Test incident resit appeal

Hi my DD sat for UCAT a week back but unfortunately during her test her computer blacked for few times and ultimately shut down. She had to wait for sometime and then moved to another computer. We reported this test incident immediately after the exam and got a reply that it wasn’t significant time loss during the UCAT test and UCAT can’t do anything. We want to appeal against this decision and request for a resit. My DD is very stressed as she lost focus during the exam due to interruption and got a low score in one of the subsection that was interrupted. She is very depressed as her preparation’s went in vain and doesn’t want to lose a year.
Unfortunately there is no phone number to contact UCAT directly and customer service phone is only for primary consultation.

Can anyone give any suggestions or have appealed before or in our situation previously.

Thanks in advance

Really sorry to hear about what happened to your daughter. This is a nightmare which should not have happened to anyone. Have you gone through the process they outlined here:

I hope they accept your appeal and allow her to resit.

Hey that is ridiculous, especially considering that the UCAT is so time pressured so that every second counts. I'm really sorry to hear that. I would try contacting all the universities she's applying to explain the situation and apply to universities that don't focus n the UCAT too much. Those idiots could have at least offered you a resit for another day or something. You should also try getting your money back for the test.

I don't know anyone who's been in this situation before but that sounds absolutely awful. What happened was completely out of your daughter's control. I definitely think you should be able to resit the UCAT especially since it's so time-pressured and if anything unexpected happens of course we're going to lose our focus because we're human beings. What they have said is also outrageous because in an exam like the UCAT, every second is significant so I don't really know what these guys are talking about.

I hope your daughter is doing ok and please tell her not to worry. I hope that they accept your appeal and allow her to resit. If they don't (which shouldn't happen but just in case) then somehow convey this to the universities that she's planning to apply to.

I wish your daughter all of the best and I hope that she gets into the universities that she wants to get into 🙏
