Strathclyde MPharm

I've been thinking about applying to Strathclyde for pharmacy however I've heard its very competitive. Does anyone know if they focus more on grades or personal statement and interview? As I've achieved AAAAA at higher for 5th year whilst their entry requirement is AABB so would this give me a significant advantage?
(also I'm aware I also need BB at advanced higher)

Hi well done on your results! I got my AH results and have gotten into the MPharm at Strath, starting in two weeks time. I sat my highers and got AAAAB and got in successfully so your results will definitely help. I spent time working on my personal statement and making sure I was happy with everything in it, covering all the key points using correct grammar and good vocabulary etc. Try to make your personal statement as strong as you can. I was so nervous for the interview process but honestly it was so much less scary than i thought, all they do is give you an ethical scenario case study and you have to justify your thoughts and opinions on it- there is no right or wrong answer (to a certain extent). I found it to be more like a conversation which relaxed me a bit. I’m not sure if they focus on a specific part of your application, but in my opinion each part of my application played an important part. I think they have more about it on the strath website for the MPharm section. Honestly just be confident in your ability and interest in pharmacy and you will be absolutely fine. Let me know if you have any more questions and good luck with your application!
