Student finance

I am at the end of my second year of nursing and starting third year in January. I had an interruption of studies in my first year that put me from September 2023 intake to January 2024 intake. My student finance is still working off me being September intake. What changes would happen if I get in touch with student finance to change this?

Hi there, you would remain on the same intake as you originally started if you have not withdrawn from your previous course. So payments would still fall in line with the original intake you were on as the change was made after your course had began. Thanks, Jason

Thank you Jason. My interruption was from April to August so the student finance payment i received in April before I started my break I paid back. Does this mean that I won't receive a payment in the September before I qualify in the January? As the rest of my January cohort are getting a payment September 2026

Hi there, if you have paid back a payment to us,, this will be classed as a voluntary repayment (these can not be reissued). So it very likely that no payment will be issued in September due to your original payment schedule. Stephen
