The do's and don'ts of freshers week 🎒🍕🍻

Freshers' Week = chaos, tote bags, free pizza, and pretending you know where your lectures are. Here’s a friendly guide to survive >.<

Talk to everyone. People on your course, in accommodation halls, at the Freshers’ Fair, in your lecture. Everyone’s new, everyone’s a little nervous, and everyone is just waiting for someone else to say hello first. Be that person. :colondollar:

Don’t spend your entire student loan in one week. I know the temptation is real!!! takeaway, drinks, Ubers, clubs every night with your friends. But pace yourself. You’ve got a whole term ahead, and beans on toast every night by mid-October won’t be filling. :pepsi:

Be open to experiences. Freshers’ Week is full of random events, new people, free gifts and new experiences. Try the weird society, go to that quiz night, join your flatmates on exploring town. Join societies, even the weird ones 😮. Bubble tea Society? Salsa dancing? Give it a go. You’ll have lots of free time on your first week. Even if you only go once, you’ll meet new people and try something fun.

For older students, how was your Fresher’s week? Any advice?
