Accommodation Adams street gardens

Hi All,
looking for someone (undergraduate) who received offer for the accommodation in Adams street gardens? I got my offer from Cardiff uni but not sure how they allocate room and if I am going to be with other undergraduates from Cardiff? Thank you very much

Hi there,

Did you apply through the university or privately through Unite Students themselves? If it's through the uni, you are most definitely going to be sharing flats with other Cardiff students as well  This is because the university usually books a set amount of rooms for first year undergraduates, therefore you are likely to share flats with other Cardiff University freshers.

If you're still feeling unsure, it's worth contacting Unite Students and asking if your flatmates are Cardiff University students or otherwise. You can contact them here.

Thank you very much. I received my offer from the uni itself. So I hope i will be with other graduates. I have never been to Cardiff before, so a bit unsure about accommodation, distances, shops and other things...Thank you

Hi,

No worries! If you applied directly through the university, you'd most likely be with other Cardiff University students then, I wouldn't worry too much about that

I would say Adam Street Gardens is a great location - it's very close to the city center, just being an 8 minute walk. There you can access shops like Sainsburys for your groceries, though if you're feeling lazy, there's a corner shop 5 minutes down the road.

Adam Street Gardens is also very close to the Engineering department and Trevithick Library, which is 10 minutes away. Going to the Student Union or Cathays campus is slightly further away at a 20mins walk, but there are quite a few student accommodations around this area, so you find that a few students will be making the walk.

Let me know if I can help with anything else!
