January TMUA

Hi I’m applying for Warwick economics and I need to do the TMUA, I have it booked currently for October but I’m super unprepared (I tried to practise but I literally don’t understand anything) and my geography a level trip is the week before so I’m unlikely to be able to practise in the days coming up to the exam. Is there any disadvantage to doing the TMUA instead in January? I’m not applying for anything early entry, but I’m just worried that maybe it might make a difference because it’s the last minute group 😓 thank you!

There's no disadvantage whatsoever. The only reason why there is one in October is for those wanting to study at Cambridge

My son was predicted 3 a*'s last year. He took the oct tmua (and was also gearing up for his driving test at end of Oct). He got just below average on tmua. Warwick had his application for 6 months and then let him know he wasn't accepted. Gutted for him. Wish his school had advised him to take the later test. Study for it. I would argue that one test is as important as an A level for Warwick. Good luck.
