Access to Social Sciences

I have been reading some very positive posts on the mature student threads about experiences with Access courses. I am a teacher who is considering starting my own online business delivering an Access to Social Sciences course, including live lessons, a resource hub, collaborative spaces and additional activities, UCAS support, plus individual tutorials when needed. It would be funded in the same way as a college course.
My question is whether you think this would be a popular option compared to attending a local college or an online course without the live lessons?
I basically need to know if there is any demand before I go all in on this
Thanks

I did my access course online and It was great, so convenient due to being online. Although we only had 10 students in our cohort and most of them said they didn’t like the online aspect and they felt they would have been more engaged if it were in person. I think there is a demand for a niche group like myself who can self motivate and who prefer the convenience of online learning. That being said I’ve seen lots of discussions on here around learn direct which is an online access course platform so it may be more popular than I realise. Hopefully you get more responses to give you an idea of whether it’s worth your time to set up. All the best 🙂

Thank you for your response. I am quite self-motivated with studies as well, but I know that some people would prefer more support. My idea is to provide that support and sense of community online so that people get the learning opportunities without having to forgo the flexibility.
