yeahh my mocks start next month but their just pre mocks the proper mocks are in novemeber-december but i still wanna do well in them so im trying to revise a lot and thank youuu im trying to be organised but i keep changing my schedule and revising different subjects in a day and yeah im gonna try not to burn out cause i got burnt out during the yr10 mock season and it was so badd but anyways what did u get in yr 10 mocks? if youve done them

ohh okay i think the only subject i have pre mocks for is computing but yeah i completely get wanting to do well nevertheless
i didnt have mocks in year 10 but i had end of year exams but my grades for those weer actually so bad, the highest i got was a low 9 in maths and the lowest was probably a 6 in dt, although tbf i didnt finish my nea on time so thats kind of my fault. i definitely lost WAY too many marks for making silly mistakes that i knew the answers to, or i lost marks for things like not typing the number into the calculator properly, etc. so this year i really need to lock in
i get the whole burning out thing idk if its just because i didnt put enough effort into my exams or if i just have a alrger capacity for revision and stuff but in year 10 i didnt really get too burnt out? but during the year 9 eoys i actually could not, after exams i even missed a day or two off school
do you have your pre mock and mock timetables yet?

woww you got a 9 thats so good you should be rlly proud ive never gotten a 9 before but the highest i got was an 8 so hopefully i can get a few 9s in my mocks and yeah i understand the silly mistaks i dont do dt but in maths i make so many silly mistakes and it makes me lose out on soo much marks its so annoying i think just doing a lot of practice questions would prevent u from making silly mistskes but i think for dt its different? im not sure cause i dont do it but i definitely understand making the silly mistakes i hate it so much especially if i already know the topic, yeah i get burnt out so fast i think its because i just ended up cramming last minute and i had to do the same thing i also took a day off because i was too stressed but that was on my actual exam so i had to redo it a few weeks after and no i havent got my timetables yet the teachers take really long to give them out to us like we only got our timetables for our yr10 mocks like literally a week before we had them also what are u aiming to get in ur upcoming mocks?

For maths do as many practice papers and questions as you can. i would say make a note of topics u commonly loose marks on and then focus your revision in on those topics with more questions and videos

Heyyy guys I decided to start this gyg because I started yr11 today and wanted to track my progress and also feel a bit more motivated because I’m aiming for all 9s in my gcses and have mocks coming up in October - December which I want mostly 9s and 8s in so here are my yr10 mock results
Bio - 7
Chem - 8
Physics - 7
Geography - 7
Business - L2D/7
Computer science - 8
English literature - 6 (I’m actually good at this subject but started last minute and felt burnt out so I didn’t put in much revision)
Maths - 5 but we all had to do a foundation paper
Im really scared for my mocks because they determine what sixth form I go to and sometimes I struggle with motivation because my friends have lower grade expectations than me but I hope this can help

are you doing triple science? but either way those grades are very good for end of year 10. I am also in Year 11.

I'm doing triple science as well. I'm just trying to go over the content on my own as quickly as possible, so it'll be easier to understand in school.
