Not progressing to second year at LSE

In first year, you'd need to pass at least 3 units to progress to second year but I only passed in 2.5 units so I had to resit the failed units in the IRDAP period, but now I'm worried about what happens if that fails too. I mean, I'd only need to pass in 0.5 of the failed units, but I just need to be prepared. I really should've applied for repeat teaching but it is way too late.

I'm pretty sure I'd still have attempts remaining but I wouldn't go into second year, so would I effectively be spending an unofficial year at LSE trying to resit the failed courses again. Has that ever happened? I'm just confused because the website just says they'll discuss options but surely if students have experienced this yearly they'd have a general idea of what some of the options are.

And if this unofficial year situation is a thing, does SFE cover this because I have a feeling they don't if they're expecting LSE to confirm second year enrollment to actually follow through.
